Game Log: Set Up November 2008: Running 25 January 2009 -

Turn15: New speeds required: Received: Kevin first, Kevin, MarkS, MarkR,
Turn14: New speeds listed. Kevin Aqua/Cyan first up, Black, red, Purple, Blue. Black attacks Cyan but fails to do anything substantial, while the rest plow ahead, with Red eating up the straightaway."
Turn13: MarkS Purple then Kevin Cyan. Black, Blue, Red, Green. Red rockets around the turn into his last lap, while
Blue and Purple roll around also, but far behind Red. Green and Aqua are in the middle, while Black hovers menacingly in the background, possibly hoping to tangle with Red before the victory is achieved.
Turn12: Purple first, then Cyan, then Black, then Red, then Blue, then Green
Turn11: Red races ahead, while Purple and Blue scream around the corner. Green plods along in the turn, while Black ad Cyan/Aqua struggle for last place.
Turn10: Black, Cyan and Green chariot teams plug along down the straightaway, while  Purple forces Blue to brake to avoid an attack in the corner. Red chariot is far ahead in the other straightaway.
Turn9: Blue team forges ahead and makes a ram attack on the Red chariot car, doing some damage to both vehicles, and tries to ram attack Red's horses, but Red simply brakes and avoids the attack.
The Red charioteer rockets by the Blue team, lashing out with his whip and forcing the Blue driver to brake. Then Red makes it halfway around the next turn
Next, Black chariot trundles around the turn, going to the outside around the Cyan chariot
The Cyan team rolls around the curve, the driver wondering aloud whether there is any way to stop the Red or Purple teams from winning the race.
Green team makes it around the turn and down the straight-away, leaving Black's heavy chariot way behind.  The Purple charioteer declines on attacking the Blue chariot and bolts on by, gratefully eating the dust kicked up by his ally, Red team, who is in great shape for a victory
Turn8: Green whistles by the Black team, lashing out against their horses, but the attack has no effect and Green goes on around the corner.
Turn7: Red rolls clear of the turn and is in great shape.  Purple and Blue have mainly gotten around the turn, but haven't quite cleared it, so they won't be going too fast unless they take some risk. Black, Green and Cyan lag behind by a good bit
Turn6: MarkR Blue team charioteer lashes his horses mercilessly and they and his chariot tear down the straight, almost making it to the next turn.
MarkR Black Black chariot rolls up next to Purple chariot with it's scythed wheels flashing in the morning sunlight and tries to ram Purple's chariot car but fails miserably, and the crowd gives a communal sigh.  Then the crowd roars as Black slams back into the Purple horses with it's horrible scythed wheels and draws blood from the poor leftmost horse. Black then goes up the track a fraction, as if inviting Purple to seek revenge.
MarkS Red charioteer races into the next turn on an outside lane, raising dust and careening around the corner, but keeping everything well under control.
MarkS Purple team roars down the track, pulling up almost toe-to-toe with the Blue team
Kevin's Cyan chariot uses the straightaway like every one else and makes good time
Kevin's Green chariot's driver applies the whip and gets some extra effort out of his horses
Turn5: MarkS Red chariot is up first: The Red team bursts ahead, lashing viciously at the Blues, who are up against the Purple team, forcing the Blue team to brake to avoid the attack. But?...
Kevin's Aqua next. Red chariot team wheels around the corner and whips out at Blue Team's driver, but the lash barely misses. Cyan team trundles around the Black team and is not out of the corner yet.
MarkS Purple next. The Purple Charioteer decides not to attack the Blue chariot team and goes racing down the straight-a-way. Purple team races ahead, followed by MarkR Black team plodding along behind, both of them bearing down the second straightaway.
Kevin Green team takes it easy to avoid catastrophe in the turn, and clears the corner, making good time down the straight
MarkR Blue chariot also plays it cautious, and leans in to the interior lanes, hanging back from the Purple-Red menace
Turn4: MarkS Red chariot is up first, taking a wide route on the first bend at maximum speed and nearly completing it.
MarkR Black moves in to miss MarkS Purple and to take the corner.
Kevin's Aqua sharply pulls in towards the centre to reach the bend.
MarkS's purple chariot pulls around the bend, being cautious not to go to fast on the corner.
Kevin's Green team hurtles by their allies in the Aqua chariot, inexplicably hurling curses at them and waving their fists
The Purple and Blue teams break out of the first corner of the race going neck and neck
Turn3: Kevin's Aqua goes first of the third turn.
MarkR Blue takes the opportunity to Ram Attack Horse on Kevin as he rushes past. the attack. Kevin's Aqua chariot has three options: (a). Hold and receive the attack (b). Brake-expend two endurance points and move backwards to avoid the attack. (c). Evade- make an instant lane change and avoid the attack (the movement point used will be deducted from the evading chariot's next turn movement total), it takes one movement point to change to an inside lane and two to go to an outside lane. Kevin tries to evade. The Aqua chariot rolled two dice and got "5" total. The Blue chariot rolled a "7", so this means Kevin could not evade after all, and had to stand and take the attack, which was a "10" on the "horse injury table", meaning Kevin's left-most horse took "2" damage, reducing his total speed  down to 13 movement Factors, and so, adding his charioteer's one, your maximum speed is 14.
MarkS Purple team - move to the next out lane, thus entering lane IV instead of III, which has a max safe speed of 15  and he enters the curve with a speed of "16"...thus the Purple chariot had 1 flip points...he rolls a "17" on the strain/flip chart, so the result is 1 damage to the right-most horse.
Kevin's Green chariot is next
I just sent Mark Spencer an email about Kevin's Green chariot team attacking his Red chariot team. Sorry for the delay! When he gives me his decision whether or not to attempt to "brake" (that's his only option besides allowing the attack; he can't "evade" because he's between the Green chariot and the Spina wall)...
I was wrong about a player needing to "attempt" to brake...it's an automatic action if they want to do it, no rolling of dice. Kevin's Green Chariot goes out one lane, pulls aside the Red Chariot, and makes an attack, but the Red Chariot merely brakes to avoid the attack. This means the Red chariot is OK but loses 2 endurance points and goes backwards one square, and the Green Chariot goes on by, but has spent the extra 1 MF to make the attack. So the Red Chariot winds up one square back in the same lane and the Green Chariot winds up at lane II/30.  Kevin was unclear if he needed to go out 1 lane or 2, so I let him go 1 in order to make the attack.
MarkR black chariot team rushes down the straight to be right behind MarkS Purple as they reach the first bend.
MarkS Red is up next to finish this turn. - Moving out a lot avoiding everyone.
Turn2: MarkS Red goes first of the second turn in CM2MR and still no blood!
MarkR's  Blue Chariot is up next and he Strains a bit.
Kevin's Green chariot pulls up just behind MarkS
MarkR's Black Chariot - just straight ahead.
Kevin's Aqua moves straight ahead.
MarkS Purple to finish the turn. No bloodshed in the second turn either!
Turn1: Kevin's Aqua team goes first, but they rolled the worst possible for "inertia deduction" (I call it...the effort to get the horses and chariot going at the beginning of the race): Aqua deducts "6" from it's turn speed.
MarkS Red starting deduction was 3, and his total possible speed is 18, and that's what he's spent, but he has his speed listed as 10. Is this right?
MarkR's (my) Black Chariot: Speed 11 no strain (new column added)
Kevin's
Green chariot rumbles into action
MarkR
's  Blue Chariot bounces back.
MarkS's Purple Chariot takes a straight run.
The Purple chariot team busts out ahead and we complete a bloodless first turn!
Turn0: 8 joined November 2008: starting to set up: Lori, Kevin are in ChrisC is not. ChrisB & MarkR added. All players have 2 chariots that can help or hinder each other.
