Game Log: 5 players = 7 Turns: 19 April - 24 August 2009
| Turn 7: Final Turn |
Shares Bids & Actions received: Jamie has Turn Order pass from last turn.
With loads of money to spend Montu wins to get Locomotive
(Snoozefest 1M, Jamie U, ChrisB 1B, Dave E) Builds received: ChrisB has 1st Build then in Turn order with Jamie having Urbanisation=Hamstead=H Goods received: Snoozefest has 1st Move then in Turn Order : Jamie uses ChrisB to get to Rowley Regis, & ChrisB uses Dave to get from Walsall twice. Income Reduction: Snoozefest & Montu -6, Dave , Jamie & ChrisB -4 I feel a rather surprising result at the end once Snoozefest wiped the floor with us : 1st Snoozefest 66, 2nd Montu 63, 3rd ChrisB 50, 4th Dave 40, 5th Jamie 39 Comments on the new style of sending orders: I think the new system is an improvement. For new players, you might want to note in the build instructions that when one wishes to extend an uncompleted link, one needs to specify the entire link rather than just the extension. Also provision should be made for when one wants to work on more than two links on a particular turn. Good game, all! Tough auction at the end there! This interface works well, especially for the building and goods delivery. However, I think the drop-down boxes are easier to use to submit the initial choices for actions to choose. Any more comments would be welcome. |

to get 2nd.
However
ChrisB wins the bid to get Locomotive again (Jamie T, Snoozefest U, Montu 1M,
Dave E) Note: to see Previous image move over 'grey' box in the top right corner of map. Builds received: in Turn order with Snoozefest having Urbanisation=Tame Bridge=B. (but didn't build out of Dudley as per map so £3 added to Cash) Montu redirects his track out of Birmingham Snow Hill and continues on. Dave only built 3 track with Engineering - he can have his 4th if needed since it doesn't affect anyone. Goods received: Montu has 1st Move then in Turn Order : Dave uses Jamie's track between Coseley and Bradley Income Reduction: Snoozefest -6, Montu, Jamie & ChrisB -4 Dave -2 Goods Growth: West = -, -, -, -, - plus Dudley; East = -, SOUTH, -, -, - plus - |
| Turn 5: |

ChrisB wins the bid to get Locomotive (Dave U, Montu 1M, Snoozefest 1B,
Jamie T) Builds received: Snoozefest has 1st Build then in Turn order with Dave having Urbanisation=Dudley=A Goods received: Montu has 1st Move then in Turn Order : Comments: Jamie: Orders for Goods now getting too long for the Box - is there a better/shorter way of doing it? I've now altered the Orders so that only Towns can be clicked on rather than the full route. I will have to check the validity of the route manually though! : Two new locos added. Income Reduction: Montu & Snoozefest -4, Dave, Jamie & ChrisB -2 Goods Growth: West = -, Bescot, Wolverhampton, -, - plus Rowley Regis, -; East = -, -, -, -, - plus Bradley |
| Turn 4: |
Shares Bids & Actions received: Jamie has Turn Order pass from last turn..
Snoozefest wins to get Locomotive (Jamie 1B, Montu T, Dave P, ChrisB) Builds received: Jamie has 1st Build then in Turn order with ChrisB having Urbanisation=Rowley Regis=D & Dave having Production1=Bradley & Production2=Bradley Comments: Montu:There's no way to do disconnected builds on the current interface. Hmmm-yes you can but it's a bit fiddly, for example my Black track between B Snow Hill and Smethwick was Build1: BSnowHill-pG and then Build2: Smethwick-nG. Each Build must start on a town! The problem is how to specify the final direction towards the blank space, so ideally the Orders should be Build1: BSnowHill-pG-blank(oG) and then Build2: Smethwick-nG-blank(oG), but not sure how to do that - suggestions? Theoretically there should be a Build3 and Build4 but less likely to be needed: I've now added an AltBuild1 and an AltBuild2 Goods received: in Turn Order : 3 New Locos Income Reduction: Everyone -2, except ChrisB 0 Goods Growth: West =Tipton, -, -, -, - plus Aston, -; East = BNS, SOUTH, -, -, - plus Galton Bridge |

New method for this using the Orders Box.
Dave wins the bid to get Locomotive (Montu U, Snoozefest 1B, Jamie T,
ChrisB E) The page should now remember who you are and automatically put your Player Id in the box after you have entered it this time. (fingers crossed). This seems to work while Internet Explorer is still running - not sure about Firefox? From Snoozefest on another AoS: Spoiled now -- I like the convenience of your new build/delivery tools! Builds received: Snoozefest has 1st Build then in Turn order with Montu having Urbanisation=Aston=C Goods received: in Turn Order : 3 new Locos Still getting positional problems with Firefox but hopefully have tracked it down to map positioning in a table - fingers crossed again! Income Reduction: Montu & Snoozefest -2, everyone else 0 but Jamie has to lose 1 from his Income to pay off his debts. Goods Growth: West = Coseley, Coseley, -, Walsall, Tipton plus Aston; East = -, Oldbury, Oldbury, Perry Barr, Smethwick plus - |
| Turn 2: |
Shares Bids & actions required: Back to normal ordering for now -
Phew??? Montu & Snoozefest start the bidding high, and Snoozefest wins to get
Locomotive (Montu U, ChrisB 1B, Dave E, Jamie P) Builds received: ChrisB has 1st Build then in Turn order with Montu having Urbanisation=Galton Bridge=E and Jamie Production1=Coseley & Production2=Coseley Revamped the Builds to use Selection Boxes for Build1 & 2; Urbanisation & Production1 & 2 - only the Towns/Routes need to be selected on Map: Also you can specify the hex after your last bit of track to give the resulting direction. Goods received: in Turn Order : one new loco only Income Reduction: None Goods Growth: West = Tipton, Walsall, Wednesbury, Wednesbury, -; East = SOUTH, Smethwick, Perry Barr, B New Street, Perry Barr plus Galton Bridge |
| Turn 1: |

(Snoozefest U, Jamie E, Dave 1B, ChrisB 1M) This is the play-test bit... Builds received: Dave has 1st Build then in Turn order with Snoozefest having Urbanisation=Bradley=F Note that this uses Javascript and doesn't seem to work under Firefox, but it is OK under Internet Explorer. Now amended & hopefully should work. Also difficult to distinguish between Purple & Red so have made the cerise purple more lavender purple - does this improve it? Goods received: ChrisB has 1st Move then in Turn Order : 3 New Locos added Note: I'm struggling to get the programming working properly at the moment, so bear with me - click on the Goods button on the map repeatedly to get the correct colour, then on the Town that the Goods is in and then click on the route that you want it to take. The Goods2 isn't working yet ,so can you do Goods1 then Send Orders and then repeat for Goods2. I'll get there hopefully before the game finishes!!! All changed and I have revamped the Goods to use Selection Boxes for the Colours - therefore only Routes selected on Map-Button removed Income Reduction: None Goods Growth: West = Wednesbury, Coseley, Coseley, Walsall, Coseley; East = B Snow Hill, Smethwick, B Snow Hill, B New Street, B Snow Hill plus Bradley, Bradley |
| Turn 0: | 5 Joined to playtest a new Map Ordering System: First turn order chosen randomly: This is a Map play-test, so comments will be appreciated. |
